Adding trailer air brakes when converting a straight truck
We've created this kit for people with an air brake straight truck that needs to be converted to a tractor. Your truck should have a PP-1 style dash valve in order to use this kit. You can tell if you have a PP-1 dash valve by the large chrome nut that holds it in the dash and the pin that holds the button onto the shaft. You need a different kit if you have a PP-DC style dash valve where the button is threaded onto the valve.
Gladhands and trailer connection hoses are sold separately because there are many options to choose from. Popular choices are listed below.

- Includes a trailer dash valve, tractor protection valve, inline quick release valves, 3/8" nylon air tubing, 1/2" nylon air tubing, 1/4" nylon air tubing, push-to-connect fittings, zip ties, and instructions
- Air tubing and wire ties aren't shown, but are included
- This kit does not include the fittings required to connect to the truck's foot valve. Contact us for help if you need those fittings.
