There a two maxibrake actuators used as tailgate cylinders on East trailers. This MA15665 which has an 8" push rod with a 5" exposed length.

The other option is the KSMR3PT75-1200NB. It's listed as 12" long, but the exposed push rod length is 9". You can find it at the bottom of this page.
