There a two maxibrake actuators used as tailgate cylinders on East trailers. This KSMR3PT75-1200NB has the longer push rod. It is listed as 12" long, but the exposed push rod length is 9".

The other option is the MA15665 which has an 8" push rod with a 5" exposed length. You can find it at the bottom of this page.
