The Bendix PP‑1 valve is a manually operated, push‑pull on/off air control valve with an exhaust function. It is pressure‑sensitive and automatically returns to the exhaust (button out) position when supply pressure falls below its calibrated minimum. When pressure is above the required threshold, the valve may be manually operated to either position. PP‑1 valves are commonly used for parking and emergency brake control and were also used with TP‑2 tractor protection valves in pre‑FMVSS‑121 single‑circuit tractor systems.
