Haldex Automatic Slack Adjusters
We offer a mixture of two different Haldex automatic slack adjusters, ABA and S-ABA. The ABA (Automatic Brake Adjuster) is the original design most people will have on the truck or trailer. It has a pointer on the control arm for proper positioning. The S-ABA is Haldex's latest design that has no pointer. The control arm tab of the S-ABA (Self-Setting Automatic Brake Adjuster) slack adjuster can be placed in just about any position you need.
The two adjuster types can be interchanged, but you should use two of the same type on an axle to maintain even braking.

How do I measure my air brake slack adjuster? The first step to determining which air brake slack adjuster you need is to measure the diameter of the camshaft at the splines. You will then need to count the splines. Finally, measure the distance from the center of the camshaft hole to the center of the clevis pin hole. This measurement is referred to as the span in the chart below.
You'll also need to be aware of any offset from the center line of the slack adjuster arm to the center of the brake chamber push rod. Most of the slack adjusters listed below are not offset. Offsets will be listed in the notes under the part.
Important Note: Each Haldex adjuster is designed for use on a certain vehicle type and even certain locations on the vehicle. Some slack adjusters are meant for use on trailers and some are for truck drive axles. Others are for steer axles. Please be sure that the slack adjuster you choose will meet your needs.
