How It Works

Install indicator onto the push rod while the brakes are released. (Be sure to chock the wheels!)

Be sure that indicator is pushed up against the brake chamber

During a brake application or with the parking brakes set, you can visually check to the amount of push rod travel at each wheel.

The indicator should travel less than or equal to the length of a standard 1-1/2" brake chamber stud.

If indicator travels beyond the end of the stud, brake system diagnostics will need to be performed.
