This is the second generation of Eaton Extended Service brake shoes, which use hold‑down springs that attach to the shoe web. The first‑generation Extended Service design uses anchor‑end hold‑down springs that attach to tabs on the brake shoe table. These second‑generation shoes can replace the first‑generation version on your truck as long as you use the included hardware kit.
