It is a plastic valve body. You need to have the right thread sealer. I over tightened one of the fittings and it cracked the plastic valve body. Which made the valve body unusable. I paid $195 for it. I found the same type of valve body with a 3 lb and a half inch end an Amazon for $55 which I purchased to get me back on the road.
