The Bendix K046180 AD‑9® Air Dryer is a stand‑alone, body‑mounted air dryer assembly designed for heavy‑duty air brake systems requiring coalescing filtration. This model includes a 12‑volt, 75‑watt heater/thermostat, PuraGuard® coalescing cartridge, stainless‑steel strap mounting, and an open purge exhaust configuration. The unit features 1/2‑14 NPT supply and delivery ports, 1/4‑18 NPT control port, and a hard‑seat purge valve for reliable moisture and oil aerosol removal.

Built for durability and serviceability, the AD‑9® uses a PuraGuard® coalescing cartridge with 11 inches of removal clearance and includes both upper and lower slotted mounting brackets for flexible installation. With a 200 PSI safety valve opening pressure and no governor included, this air dryer is engineered for applications requiring enhanced oil filtration and consistent air system protection. Bendix cautions that PuraGuard® cartridges must not be replaced with standard or GC‑type cartridges.
