The Bendix® E‑8P® foot valve is a dual‑circuit, treadle‑operated service brake valve that provides graduated control of both primary and secondary brake circuits. As described in the Bendix service data sheet, the E‑8P uses a rubber spring (27) in the primary piston assembly and operates with a common exhaust protected by an exhaust diaphragm.

The E‑8P is the standard configuration used on a wide range of trucks and tractors and is a direct functional replacement for older Bendix E‑12 valves.
