Trailer Brake Assemblies
These are complete electric brake assemblies for replacement of your Dexter trailer brakes. The brake shoes and hardware are pre-assembled onto a new backing plate, so all you have to do is cut the electric wires near your current backing plate, unbolt and remove the backing plate, and bolt up the new backing plate and attach the included brake's wires. It's that simple.
Right-Hand, Left-Hand, Which do I need? It is a simple task to determine whether you need a left or right-hand brake assembly. Look at your existing electric trailer brake assembly with the magnet at the bottom. The electric brake actuating arm with the magnet attached is connected to a hinge pin near the top of the backing plate. The actuating arm is going to curve around to the left or right. If it curves to the right, you need a right-hand electric brake assembly. If it curves left, you need a left-hand brake assembly.

12-1/4" x 3-3/8" Electric Brake Assemblies
with 5 Bolt Cast Backing Plate for Imported Axles
These are replacement brake assemblies for imported trailer axles with 12.25" x 3.375" electric brakes. This electric brake assembly is NOT used on Dexter or Kelsey Hayes axles. Note that it has a 5-bolt mount. Dexter doesn't use a 5-bolt mount. Hayes uses a 5-bolt mount, but their brake shoes are 3.5" wide.
These brakes are found on trailers with imported axles and are hard to find. So far, we know trailers made by Quality Trailer, H and H Trailer, J and J Trailer, and Lippert Trailer have been found to use this brake assembly. We're sure there are others and will add them as we find out.
